Backerkits Away!
over 7 years ago – Mon, Dec 12, 2016 at 09:00:44 PM

Hello Backers!

We are emailing out the BackerKit surveys for Operation Unfathomable as this update goes out. Please make sure to answer the survey questions so that we can make sure we get you the brain-meltingly weird stuff you’ve helped make possible!

THE DEADLINE FOR BACKERKIT RESPONSE IS FEBRUARY 1, 2017.

We’ll need an email address of yours that’s registered with DriveThruRPG/RPGNow. For higher-tier backers, we’ll also be collecting your shipping address.

This is also a chance for you to select additional add-ons in BackerKit, or upgrade to a higher pledge tier, should you so desire. So if you wanted to get extra hardcopies of the Operation Unfathomable Player’s Guide, or pick up the DCC omnibus, this is the place to do it!

If you weren’t able to back Operation Unfathomable during the Kickstarter, you can still pre-order Operation Unfathomable materials through BackerKit as well! Check out the pre-order store to pick up PDF or POD copies of Operation Unfathomable, the Odious Uplands, the Player’s Guide, or the omnibus editions (either Swords & Wizardry or DCC).

So to sum up:

  • Backers - check your emails and respond to the Backerkit survey so we can get you your rewards! (If you don't see it, check your spam folder also.) The deadline is February 1, 2017.
  • Non-backers - if you want to pre-order Operation Unfathomable materials, go here to place your pre-orders.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us through Kickstarter or drop us a line at [email protected] .

Thanks!

Operation Unfathomable Ends With a Bang
over 7 years ago – Thu, Nov 10, 2016 at 10:20:52 PM

And with a $21,756 bang it's over. All of us at the Hydra Cooperative are floored and mightily appreciative of the wave of support here at the end of our campaign.

We committed ourselves during the Slumbering Ursine Dunes Kickstarter experience to try and run high-road crowdfunding with transparency, commitment to deadlines/quality, and actually paying back in content terms real value to all backers. Your generous support isn't taken for granted and we are confident that you'll be happy campers for pitching in to helping us take Jason's vision to a fully-realized climax.

So how did we end up? As of funding minutes ago with 519 backers we passed a number of new stretch goals (adding on to the Hardcover edition, Odious Uplands mythic wilderness book, Jez Gordon maps, Stefan Poag headers):

1. At $19k you unlocked something to hand out to the fools...err...players who dare the dangers of your version of the underworld: the Operation Unfathomable Players Guide complete with (a quite funny) mini-comic.

2. Did you want to play Operation Unfathomable with a fully-converted DCC book? Well you got that too. At $20k we passed that by clearing the way for DCC old hand Paul Wolfe to get cracking on that popularly asked for supplement. (Who knows what other conversions may come down the pike.)

Lastly please take note that in the next few days we will be sending out surveys from the very handy BackerKit service. These will help us deliver the mass of PDFs, print copies and add-ons in a more organized and efficient manner so please take some time to fill this out.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Happy Gaming,

Chris Kutalik and the rest of the Hydra heads

Last Day; Dungeon Dozen 2 Early Access!
over 7 years ago – Wed, Nov 09, 2016 at 01:55:33 PM

Hi folks! This is the very last day of the Kickstarter!

We’ve passed $18,000 and unlocked the art-free early release of the Dungeon Dozen 2! This sequel expands upon Jason’s first volume of d12 tables for all your campaign design and adventuring improvisation needs.

Just as with our first Dungeon Dozen unlock, the Blue and Red Anti-Chaos Pill tiers will receive PDFs of Dungeon Dozen 2, Underworld Rangers will receive the PDF and a POD coupon, and Nul Priests/Chaos Godlings will have copies shipped to them.

Clarification on the Completely Unfathomable Hardcover: The Red Anti-Chaos Pill ($40) pledge gets a POD coupon for the 64-page paperback Operation Unfathomable, not the united 128 page Completely Unfathomable hardcover (the combination of Operation Unfathomable and Odious Uplands). Red Anti-Chaos Pill does get a PDF of Completely Unfathomable, though.

To get the combined hardcover book in print, you will need to either pledge at the Underworld Ranger tier ($80) or select it as an add-on to your existing pledge ($32 as an at-cost coupon for POD, and $18 for the PDF).

Thank you all again for your backing and support. Please do get the word out about the Kickstarter to folks you think might be interested - there's just one day left to back!

As always, questions or concerns can be sent to us through Kickstarter, or by dropping us an email at [email protected].

Stretch Goal Reached: Combined Hardcover!
over 7 years ago – Wed, Nov 09, 2016 at 09:30:16 AM

Hey folks - we’ve hit $17,500, and unlocked the COMPLETELY UNFATHOMABLE HARDCOVER! This merges OPERATION UNFATHOMABLE and The Odious Uplands into a single hardcover 128-page volume, unified for campaigning both above ground and below!

Our next stretch goal unlocks at $18,000, just $226 away as I write this - the art-free early release of the Dungeon Dozen 2! This sequel expands upon Jason’s first volume of d12 tables for all your campaign design and adventuring improvization needs.

Some podcast updates: The Good Friends of Jackson Elias gave Operation Unfathomable a great shout-out in their most recent episode, and Drink Spin Run spent a few hours talking with Jason (and fellow guest Mike Evans) about the concept of the Mythic Underworld (Part 1, Part 2). Both of these episodes just released; be sure to give them a listen if that’s your thing!

We’re coming up on the home stretch now, folks - just 35 hours left! Spread the word to anyone who you think might be interested in getting in on this.

As always, questions or concerns can be sent to us through Kickstarter, or by dropping us an email at [email protected].

Stretch Goal Reached: Dungeon Dozen Unlocked!
over 7 years ago – Tue, Nov 08, 2016 at 06:00:35 AM

Just under 60 hours to go, and we’ve unlocked our latest stretch goal: the Dungeon Dozen

All backers at the Blue Anti-Chaos Pill ($25) and above will be getting a PDF of Jason’s system-agnostic compendium of outlandish, yet crucially important, questions (and their answers in handy 1d12 table format). Not only does this book contain more of Jason’s reality-bending art, but it also holds tables directly relating to OPERATION UNFATHOMABLE, expanding your campaign and generating strange new options!

(Backed at a lower tiers but still want in on the Dungeon Dozen? You can still get it as an $8 add-on, as discussed on the main page.)

Our next stretch goal, unlocking at $17,500, is the Unfathomable Hardcover, uniting OPERATION UNFATHOMABLE and the Odious Uplands into one 128-page tome of trans-cosmic magnificence.

As always, questions or concerns can be sent to us through Kickstarter, or by dropping us an email at [email protected]. (Backers, don’t forget to check out the draft manuscript here!)
